But now, using the latest version, on a PC running XP, whenever I try to close a volume, I am ALWAYS given the message: 'Volume contains files or folders being used by applications or system. Just wanted to verify that if I delete a truecrypt container that is not mounted, will that free up the space allocated? I have a usb flashdriveof 8gb and created a container of 5gb. I lost the password of the container (but as it was all just backup, it does not matter).
