Jan 03, 2012 · I was having same issue in MAC leopard version. I did enable remote desktop in that but could not login through vnc viewer. It was getting disconnect after I enter password. Solution was to use "Full (all available colours)" in vnc. After setting this I was able to connect. Seems your issue is similar to this. Give it try. Remote Desktop can't connect to the computer for one of these reasons: 1) Remote access on the server is not enabled 2) The remote computer is turned off 3) The remote computer is not available on the network. then goes back to connecting once and immediately disconnecting. All of the updates are installed. I think the issue has finally been resolved. I was always able to connect using Remote Desktop (port was open and forwarded properly). The problem was the disconnect. The connection previously lasted about 5 minutes. I had the modem/router replaced with an SMC router and problem has gone away. I am able to connect for more than 2 hours at a time.
